On the Ball Insights
How to choose the best sales training program for your company.
The right sales training program is not the one with the loudest speaker or the longest workbook. It is the one your people can keep using when they are back in the work.

Start with the behavior you need to change.
Before comparing providers, define what better selling should look like inside your business. Do you need more prospecting activity, stronger discovery, better follow-up, tighter pipeline discipline, improved relationship development or greater consistency? A program is easier to evaluate when the desired behavior is specific.
Look for frequency, not just intensity.
One great workshop can create momentum. It cannot create a development rhythm by itself. The best sales training programs give people repeated opportunities to learn, apply, get feedback and return to the material over time.
Make coaching part of the system.
Training tells people what good looks like. Coaching helps them apply it to the deal, conversation or obstacle in front of them. If the program has no mechanism for questions, feedback or real-world problem solving, much of the value disappears between sessions.
Evaluate what happens between sessions.
Ask what sellers actually do after training. Useful systems provide practical tools, reinforcement, accountability and a clear place to continue learning. The objective is to turn training into behavior rather than another piece of content people consumed.
Bring managers into the development rhythm.
Sales training is stronger when managers understand the language and reinforce the behaviors. Leaders do not need to become trainers, but they should know what is being taught, what good execution looks like and how to coach it consistently.
Choose the system your team will actually use.
The best program for your company is the one that fits the way your people work and creates enough structure to keep development alive. At On the Ball, those principles are why Get On the Ball is built around ongoing live coaching, on-demand development, practical tools and accountability rather than a one-time event.
